Ryan Salinas wins poster prize at SBRS

We congratulate Ryan on winning the one and only poster prize at the 2016 Sydney Bioinformatics Research Symposium (SBRS). His poster described his work on the predominance and insertion sites of the koala retrovirus (KoRV) in the koala genome. He analysed short-read and PacBio long-read data that has been generated at the Ramaciotti Centre for Genomics as part of the koala genome project.
