National Computer Infrastructure
In 2016, the SBI was again successful in competing for resources on the high performance computers Raijin and Orange. These are the peak facilities hosted in the National Computer Infrastructure (NCI) in Canberra or Intersect in NSW. The SBI uses these facilities for genome and transcriptome analysis.
The Clive and Vera cluster and storage system
Concerning next-generation sequencing data at UNSW, the SBI has exclusive access to the Clive cluster and Vera storage area network, in association with the Ramaciotti Centre for Genomics. This system is maintained by UNSW Faculty IT.
